Improve your Chess by Keeping your Pawn United

As a rule in chess game, prevent your pawn from doubling while forcing your opponent to double his or her pawn. Doubling of pawns means having the two pawns positioned on the same file. When you have doubled pawns, try to think of ways you can use your queen or the rooks to take control of the opened file. Always keep your pawns well organized in an effective way that lets them work together as one.
In the chess game, remember always that when you start to move and advance your pawns, you are creating holes, or open spaces in your territory that is hard for you to defend. So while advancing your pawns, you need to think an effective way to also make them defend the open spaces they are creating so that your opponent will not be able to have the opportunity to move to those spaces and attack your chess pieces and most especially attack your king.
The pawn formation is very important in the game of chess. Isolated positioning of pawns on the chess board can be real weakness and disadvantage to you. Isolated pawns are those pawns that are separated from your other pawns or where there are no team mate pawns on the left and right file of the other pawn. Avoid isolating your pawns with each other but try to make your opponent isolate his or hers and earn advantages for your self.
Your pawns even though they are the weakest among your chess pieces become exceptionally vital in the long games of chess. You may want to create and a passed pawn then. Protect your passed pawn, clear its path from obstruction and especially from attacks and capture. You can use it for promotion. After clearing your pawn’s path and making sure that no other opponent’s piece can harm it, move it until it reaches the opponent’s end side of the board and promote it to the best possible chess piece you will be needing in the future (mostly chess players promotes it to queen because the queen is the most powerful piece in the chess game and it is better to have two queens at a time for a better chance of success in the endgame.).
It is really great if you can achieve a promotion of pawn. However, it is very difficult to achieve the pawn promotion. While thinking of promoting one of your pawns, analyze the chess board and see if your opponent is planning the same thing. Stop your opponent if you see that one of his or her pawn is doing the same thing because you do not want to make your opponent get advantages also.
These strategies for your pawns are very useful in the game of chess. Do not think that your pawns are for sacrificing only but rather think of your pawns as important chess pieces that will be of great help to win your chess game. Improve your game play by keeping them united in such a way that they can be useful aside from sacrificing.
