There are different chess tips here that you can use a guideline for a more effective and better chess game in the future. These can be helpful to you if you can understand them thoroughly and apply them always in your actual game.
Tip number 1 is to look and be aware of your opponent’s every moves. Every time he or she makes a movement, you should analyze and think carefully the hidden motive why he or she has chose that move. Anticipate your opponent’s plan; it can help you develop a counterattack to his or her movement. Also, if you can figure out your opponent’s plan, you can block them early and shake their foundation in your game play.
Second tip is to make the best possible and available move at the right time. Even if there is a good point in your intended moves, it may not be the best for that moment. Wait patiently and look for a better one. In this way, you can improve your chess.
Tip number three is for you to have a plan of structure for your chess pieces to work together.. If you attack chess piece here in one move, other chess piece over there in your next move, and so on and so forth, your opponent will just have an easy time defending your random attacks. Your chess pieces must work together to be effective in the game.
Next tip is to know what those chess pieces are worth. When you are considering sacrificing a chess piece, you should be well aware of its value and not just the number of pieces you and your opponent have. The player with a greater value of chess pieces usually has the advantage to win the game.
Time is very essential in the game of chess. The sooner your chess pieces are developed in the opening game, the sooner they can battle, and the sooner you have the control of the game. All of the chess pieces must be developed in a position that can create immense advantages when they start to attack. However, you should determine the best square suited for each chess piece and place them in there as few moves as possible.
In most times, the player who controls the center squares of the chess board will have a better advantage in the game. The chess piece in the center controls more of the board because they can easily move across the chess board and get to the other side to attack.
Always keep your king safe and secured. The object of the game is to checkmate your opponent’s king, so while attacking your opponent’s king, you should also be aware if your king is in safety so that your opponent cannot attack him. Safeguarding your king in the opening and middle game can give you better edge in the endgame.
Always think about the endgame. From the time of the opening, you should keep in mind that every movement you made affect your chances in the endgame. So carefully study your movement if it is for your benefit in the endgame. If not, change your strategy and tactics.
Tip number 10 is to always be alert. If you attained a good position, do not relax but instead be alert on the movement of your opponent. One simple mistake can lead you to a disaster as well as could lose you the game.
