They also have second teams for helping members who are beginners.

Members can also participate in friendly or Blitz games which are organized in-house for polishing their skills, before participating in higher level tournaments. These are organized on every Wednesday for the benefit of the members.

There is a separate division to teach the nuances of the game to kids and beginners. It is called ‘The Junior’s club’. Coaching is given for its members on every Saturday by Meri Lyell, she is a woman FIDE master and an ECF accredited coach.

This year the West London chess club is organizing a chess workshop for aspiring chess lovers.

The main aim of this workshop is to provide some useful knowledge about chess to its members and also for other non-members. The session is conducted by Mark Lyell. After this workshop they are also conducting a simultaneous exhibition match against international Grand Master Alexander Cherniaev.

Last year has been a very successful year for the club’s members.
