ABERDARE CHESS CLUB

Aberdare chess club was formed before twenty years and it was developed in a tie-up with Aberdare Rugby club. It has conducted many tournaments. It started its first club championship tournament in the year 2005. This club participates in many club championships, tournaments and in leagues namely East Glamorgan Leagues, Welsh Cup Tournament. They will have Aberdare festival during that time it will conduct outdoor tournament. The players who are winners in the club championship are allowed to participate in Leagues and they have won many titles to the club.
They also train peoples for getting the local championship in the First Division League which was captured in the past by some other clubs. They train mostly young and new bloods of the club for capturing the title. By capturing all these titles they can become the leading club in their province. Even though many young peoples are joining in the club it is continuing many peoples are moving away from the club hence they decided to participate in the local East Glamorgan League with only one team.
All new young enthusiastic players are always welcomed by the club and they will provide efficient training and allows them to participate in local chess tournaments and it they shine in that they are promoted to participate in Leagues and some out door tournaments.
Every Wednesday they will meet at 7.30Pm and discuss about their proceedings with the coaches and players to know their standings in the league table and what improvements to be taken to reach the first spot in the table.
